Shabby Chic with Girly Glamour Mood Board

Today’s’ board was quite hard to name – so I hope I’ve managed to translate what I mean! This board was inspired by a friend who’s wedding style is an eclectic mix of high glamour, feminine tones {muted pinks, peach and blues} with a vintage inspired, distressed sort of shabby chic bent – think peeling furniture, juxtaposed against sumptuous fabrics and reflective, shiny, blingy objects, such as mirrored vases and glass votives. I think it’s a very appealing style and can see lots of Brides channeling it – so enjoy!

Rebecca and Gus’ Shabby Chic Wedding with Literary Love!

I am so excited to share this gorgeous wedding! Captured by Bath based photographer Paul Roland Williams, I adore how beautifully British it is and am especially taken with Gus and Rebecca’s ‘literary love’  and ice cream bar – such fun and creative ideas! And let’s not forget Pauls stunning images – so genuine and natural…

“Rebecca and Gus’s wedding took place in September 2010 at St Mary’s Churchin Fordingbridge, Hampshire and Trafalgar Park nr Salisbury. Rebecca gotready at her parent’s house, which was literally 30 yards from thechurch….She just had to cross the road and she was there!

With 180 guestsflying in from all over the world , this was the biggest wedding I documented in 2010 and was full of lovely “shabby chic” details like the picture frames containing penguin book covers that were used as table markers. Rebecca and Gus also broke with tradition by opting for an ice cream bar for dessert…..a lovely touch that went down very well with the younger guests.

As you can see from the pictures, the literary “love” themed cake was something special too, and drew many an admiring glance from the guests.”

Thanks for sharing Paul x
