The Katy Howieson Blog Takeover! What Katy Did Next

First of all I would like to say congratulations to a couple whose match truly seems to be perfect for each other. I was super excited that the lovely Sarah asked me to guest post while the lucky couple jet off on honeymoon after what I can only imagine was an amazing wedding full of unique style and boho touches. Regulars of Boho Bride may recall my first guest post last December in which I created a moodboard for Sarah & Adam. I cannot wait to see pictures!

As my first post of the week I thought I would indulge in a little shameless plugging of my brand new venture – Sarah promised she didn’t mind! I am pleased to announce that after months of hard work and planning, all the inspiration from moodboards I created have evolved into my very own bridal headwear collection. ‘What Katy Did Next’ is a collection of bespoke bridal headwear influenced by Vintage, Bohemian, Classic and Romantic styles.

The collection consists of twenty pieces and is entirely handmade. Due to the bespoke nature of my work, no one piece is the same. A lot of the materials used within my work are irreplaceable such as the vintage lace. My website showcases the headwear with a guide price so that custom orders can be made, and as the pieces are made to order they are easily changed to match each brides requirements. Custom orders are welcome, I love working alongside a bride to create her dream headpiece.

While I love making beautiful headwear, I also have a lot of fun creating other wedding accessories. My love bird & peg doll cake toppers are hugely popular at the moment, with couples being able to personalise styles, colours and fabrics. My sequin heart shoe clips are a hit with bridesmaids and I have recently added garters and ring pillows to my list of products.

There are a lot more images (photographed by the fabulous Sally Thurrell) in the pages of my Look book on the website, I would love to hear what you all think…

As a treat for Boho Bride readers I would love to offer 10% off all orders placed before 31st October 2011. Simply quote BOHOBR2011 when placing an order via email 🙂

Look out for further posts from me this week featuring a moodboard or two…
