Afternoon all,

I hope everyone’s having a good week so far! Today I wanted to share with you a little project I’ve been working on for months really – and in the last few weeks it’s has come to fruition. It’s a collaborative project alongside one of my oldest and dearest friends Amry, born from something we have in common and something that we’re both trying to master the skills of – Motherhood!

Not Keeping Mum is a blog written by mothers for mothers. You can read a bit more about it and what to expect from it here.

I find writing a very cathartic experience, more often than not, if I write my troubles down, or simply jot down a to do list for the day my head becomes a lot clearer. The same can be said for Boho Bride. Initially it was an outlet for my creative ideas and later developed into a place where I could muse and vent over wedding woes as the big day approached…Well I’m sure it’s pretty clear to all that since then and since the arrival of our little boy I’ve found the blog a struggle to keep up – not so much the blogging itself - but creating content that I believe readers will enjoy…that I also enjoy!

The standard of wedding blogs continue to reach new highs daily – and to be part of that world you have to be beyond devoted. You need to be willing to live and breathe it all and whilst I adore the styling aspect of weddings {the design details still make my heart flutter} I am no longer passionate about writing about them…

And so, with a heavy heart I’m announcing the inevitable. From the end of October Boho Bride will no longer be updated. The site with remain – with it’s backlog of posts – as I still run my wedding and event design service, but there will be no more new content posted. Throughout the next couple of weeks I will be publishing pretty – including real weddings, some fantastic venues and my favourite mood boards from the last 24 months.

Thank you, thank you, thank you all for your support and friendship throughout. If you’re a Mum or Mum-to-be and would like to follow Amry and my journeys – we’ll see you over at NKM!

With Love,

Sarah, Boho Bride xx

Morning all,

Well, it’s been a while!

The past eight weeks have been so busy but I have to admit I hadn’t realised how much time had past since I’d last updated the blog. This Summer has been one of incredible highs thanks to our little {near six month} addition…and waves of low, as my Dad continues to battle cancer. I’m afraid something had to give so I could focus on family and that ended up being Boho Bride. Apologies to all of those who’ve been wondering where promised features are…those said features are soon to follow!

For today’s feature I want to give a shout-out to a marvellous company Your Image on Canvas who kindly sent me a beautiful image of my baby boy which has taken pride of place in our office and serves as a daily reminder of how lucky myself and my hubby are!

{Original image by Lucy Shergold}

It arrived on our wedding anniversary {yup, one year wed now} and was the perfect gift to mark our special day. I’m quite fussy about displaying images in our home – anything going up on our walls needs to be in a simple, elegant frame…so I wasn’t sure if a canvas would cut it – but I am so pleased with the quality of our picture; the edges are very neat and the shades of black and white are deep and crisp. A big thank you to Pete at Your Image on Canvus is in order – be sure to check them out.

Coming up this week I’ve some stunning inspiration to post on the blog thanks to Rosie Parsons and the launch party of her Love Luxe Blog… and some gorgeous readers real weddings!

With Love, Sarah xx

Hello Lovelies,

I am sorry there’s been such an absence. Those who follow me on Twitter or Instagram might know that our little boy has been poorly and unfortunately so has my Dad as he continues to bravely battle cancer – but – I am pleased to say Dylan is better and Dad is getting back on form so I’ve been able to steal some time to go through all the wonderful feedback I’ve had in regards to the blog.

To those who took the time to get in touch, thank you. I think I’ve replied to everyone – but if I’ve failed to respond to you, let me know as sometimes emails go to my bulk folder by mistake. I really appreciate all your input and support.

Sadly I can’t take everything on board {It’s just me – at the moment – working on Boho Bride & I don’t have enough time to organise a forum or weekly competitions etc…yet} but will do what I can to tweak the bits of Boho Bride that might not work quite so well in order to help you enjoy the blog even more – so here’s what’s I’ve {well you’ve actually} come up with…

♥ Less ‘real weddings’ but more home grown ones! I had wondered if I’d started to gravitate from my original mantra, to feature real weddings every few days and stick more to inspiration and ideas – and it seems my hunch was right. There are other blogs featuring real weddings so beautifully and it seems crazy that we sometimes show the same ones; so my aim is to do a lot of sourcing myself and make sure there are plenty of UK ones in the mix {though I adore some of the styling from across the pond, so there’s always going to be a few from our friends in the US, Oz and beyond!}

♥ Better catagorizing. Yup, I’m pretty slack at that. Must.Do.Better. I aim to make them more user-friendly, so you can search for more keyword specific styles i.e. Vintage, Boho, Shabby chic…

♥ More mood boards. This used to be my ‘thing’ and I really appreciate how many of you enjoy them – so I’ll try to create one per week. If anyone has an specific themes they’d like me to try, let me know!

♥ A weekly round-up of the wedding world. Some also asked if I’d do a kind of “things I like” post, so I thought I’d merge the two…featuring wedding love & links to other blogs/sites and their fab features as well as maybe a few fashion/beauty finds etc that I’ve found myself coveting.

♥ Personal posts. I am chuffed to bits so many readers of the blog enjoy the personal side of it – but I’m still struggling to think of how to approach them now I’m married. Would you like a guest bride-to-be blogger? Or just general musings from me?

Well, that’s really all the amendments I thought I could implement at this time – but please keep the lines of communication open as I love to hear from you. There’s plenty of pretty to follow next week!

Here’s to a sweet Thursday,

With Love,

Sarah, Boho Bride xx
