Brighton Pier Seaside Engagement

I love swooning over engagement shoots as they give you a glimpse of the beautiful wedding and marriage to follow – and I particularly enjoy casting my eye over the one’s where the location or theme means something special to the couple as you get a real sense of their relationship…which is an honour to witness really.

Here’s what photographer Ria Mishaal had to say about today’s offering “Brighton is very dear to Jess and Andy. It is full of memories. They have spent much time there together playing the 2p slot machines on the pier and drinking milkshakes in the american diner on the front. Jess’s stunning engagement ring originated from Brighton, and was presented to her on a beach far away…

There is something about the closeness of these two. Something inevitably consuming about how respectfully they regard each other, how much they enjoy the other’s company, their wicked sense of humour and undoubted love. It was a pure joy to spend a day in their company.”

Have a gander of the stop motion animation above – so charming and the most wonderful keepsake too! You can view more photo’s and back-story of Jess and Andy’s day on Ria’s blog.

A Fun & Fabulous Pancake Engagement Session

Today’s offering put a big grin on my face the moment I saw these delightful images. Photographer Jade Langton Evans describes her style as “bringing life and its little moments to life” and this shoot does just that.

Rhiannon and Dan spend a lot of time in their kitchen…they LOVE GOOD FOOD especially deserts and pancakes so when Jade suggested incorporating this into their engagement session (as pancake day was just round the corner) they were more than happy to oblige!

Such a simple yet creative concept, it really captures the sense of fun in Rhi and Dan’s relationship. Here’s to a very happy wedding day too!

Happy Friday all,

I hope you’ve enjoyed engagement week – it’s been so nice to show off some of the gorgeous shoots I’ve been sent of late and there’s plenty more where these came from, as well as styled inspiration shoots and some stunning real weddings!  I love the simplicity of today’s offerings; captured by Chris Jackson Photo, Robin and Andrew took a stroll around the Corn Exchange Leeds. It’s so intimate I almost feel like I’m cheekily peeking in on a few stolen, loving looks as the happy couple clearly only have eyes for each other!

Have a great weekend,

A Penarth Pier Engagement with a Vintage Feel

Today’s engagement shoot is very dear to my heart – my husband is Welsh and when living in Cardiff we used to stroll hand in hand along the beautiful Penarth Pier so these images seem very familiar and warm cockles of my heart…

Bride-to-be Gemma is a wedding blog fan and particularly likes those with a vintage bent. Gemma and Italian hubby-to-be Richie live in Cardiff and chose the location due to its original features. Photographer Lizzy May described the shoot as ‘no holds barred’ and I think you really get a sense of that from these gorgeous images – not only do they give you a glimpse of the affection shared between this lovely couple – but they look great fun too! Enjoy…

Happy Tuesday all. Today I hand over the reigns at work and officially become a maternity leave mummy-in-waiting! The prospect of having a baby has become very real indeed and I’d just like to take this opportunity to thank you for your patience these last eight months, especially during the weeks when I’ve been to exhausted or busy to post daily xxx I will be taking a short break from blogging when our little one arrives {only a week or two} but will be back to posting pretty as soon {and as consistently} as possible. Anyway, for now, back to engagement week…

I couldn’t put it better than photographer Lindsay at Lola & Bliss Photography “barns, wheat fields, rowboats…it’s what my photography dreams are made of…” This enchanting shoot took place at Gig Harbour and features Jenna and Phillip who will be getting married in June. Here’s to a gorgeous couple and a wonderful future…

So beautiful, so serene…so what do you think?

I’m kicking off my engagement week {in honour of all the couples who got engaged in February – congratulations!} with a shoot that put a smile on my face – this fun, colourful and simple Martha’s Vineyard was an easy location choice for Megan and Eli as the Groom-to-be spent many of his childhood summer’s there. I love the colour palette!

A Very Boho Engagement Shoot…

I simply ADORE this engagement shoot! Submitted by Brent at Live View Studios it epitomises the laid back bohemian attitude towards weddings that I am so passionate about – this shoot just screams personality and the couple’s very individual style. Robert and Alexis are about as boho a couple as you can get; they met at a wilderness camp in Utah and after falling in love, Alexis packed up her life and moved to North Carolina to be with her beloved.

It’s this distance travelled to be together that inspired their beautiful engagment shoot – complete with maps, travel mags and vintage suitcases, their love story has been perfectly captured in the images below. Did I mention that I really ♥ this shoot..?
