Regal Wedding Gowns, Fit for a Princess Bride!

May 4, 2011

Following the royal wedding, I’m sure we’ll now be seeing a sudden surge in the style of wedding gown our now Duchess of Cambridge wore. Designed by Sarah Burton, Creative Director of House of McQueen, Princess Catherine’s dress was a beautiful homage to the fairytale wedding gowns of the 50′s, most notebly Grace Kelly’s (Princess Grace of Monaco) and the Queen’s.

With that in mind, I’ve put together a board featuring some of my favourite designers all of whom create beautiful 50′s style wedding gowns with lace, sleeves, nipped in waists and flattering structure – think modest, understated and ladylike…

I absolutely loved her wedding dress. It was very much the style I like, and she looked regal and elegant.

You’ve posted quite a nice collection of dresses. The second row is my favorite. I love the clean lines and the “just right” touch of decoration added by the lace and the belt.

This is a beautiful collection of 50′s inspired wedding dresses. Fabulous full skirts and nipped in waists are definitely the order of the day, and the detail on the lace skirts and veil is gorgeous.

Wow! Beautiful wedding collections. Regal Wedding Gowns are elegant and fashion forward. The light chocolate brown half gown with lace work and frill finishing looks great. The sandals were matching the dress perfectly.
