Having watched this jaw-droppingly awesome programme unfold last night – there’s no way I could resist creating an inspiration board for My Big Fat Gypsy Wedding…enjoy!

Love it! Awesome! My husband was worried that when I wanted a strong vein ‘celtic’ and ‘Irish heritage’ stuff at our wedding I meant my dress would be something like the top image of the wedding dress! Let’s face it the idea of a dress that had to be brought in on wheels did flash through my brain for a moment. Nope, I meant curly red locks, flowy chiffon, heavy gold and pearl medieval jewelery and intertwined-calligraphy (but I did have my maids in turquoise ;) ).

That. Is. It! I will arrive at my wedding floating a-top a pink, very pink, pony.

Except mine’ll be so more wamglam that this one… With a gold unicorn horn. And diamantĂ© hearts on its rump. Like a living, breathing, galloping my little pony.

Maybe with swan like wings too? I’d perch in between like a cygnet. Without the grey fluff. Just layers of tulle.

    *sigh*

I can only imagine (perhaps) how much fun it would be to photograph such an inspired wedding. It was a fascinating show in many ways, both the culture and the reactions.
