Brighton Pier Seaside Engagement

I love swooning over engagement shoots as they give you a glimpse of the beautiful wedding and marriage to follow – and I particularly enjoy casting my eye over the one’s where the location or theme means something special to the couple as you get a real sense of their relationship…which is an honour to witness really.

Here’s what photographer Ria Mishaal had to say about today’s offering “Brighton is very dear to Jess and Andy. It is full of memories. They have spent much time there together playing the 2p slot machines on the pier and drinking milkshakes in the american diner on the front. Jess’s stunning engagement ring originated from Brighton, and was presented to her on a beach far away…

There is something about the closeness of these two. Something inevitably consuming about how respectfully they regard each other, how much they enjoy the other’s company, their wicked sense of humour and undoubted love. It was a pure joy to spend a day in their company.”

A Colourful Backyard Wedding

As spring has well and truly sprung I thought it would be nice to kick the week off with this beautiful backyard wedding. Alli and Cameron celebrated a day brimming with colourful details and photographer Christi Falls has captured the laid back charm perfectly…

And I can’t resist mentioning this quote that Bride Alli used to describe her and Cameron’s first meeting ” And then my soul saw you and it kind of went, oh, there you are, I’ve been looking for you” …*sigh* how stunning is that?!

With Love,

Sarah, Boho Bride xx

PS – This gorgeous wedding was submitted via Two Bright Lights and I also thought it worth mentioning that Christi Falls Photography is having a huge give-away on her blog – free wedding photography and co-ordination! She travels internationally, so it’s well worth a look. Have a gander of the details here

A Fun & Fabulous Pancake Engagement Session

Today’s offering put a big grin on my face the moment I saw these delightful images. Photographer Jade Langton Evans describes her style as “bringing life and its little moments to life” and this shoot does just that.

Rhiannon and Dan spend a lot of time in their kitchen…they LOVE GOOD FOOD especially deserts and pancakes so when Jade suggested incorporating this into their engagement session (as pancake day was just round the corner) they were more than happy to oblige!

Such a simple yet creative concept, it really captures the sense of fun in Rhi and Dan’s relationship. Here’s to a very happy wedding day too!

Spring Inspired Shabby Chic Mood Board

There’s something very invigorating about the shades of spring and I always find a spring wedding a very romantic notion, as for me it represents new life and new beginnings. Today’s board is inspired by these feelings – fresh, colourful blooms juxtaposed against worn, well loved accessories and the simple beauty of nature’s palette…

Crazy for Daisies

Happy Monday all! How was your weekend? I thought I should kick off today by letting you all know that for the next month I’ll be posting three times per week – this is because I am due to give birth to my first child imminently and have decided to enforce some kind of blogging maternity leave…plus there might be a small hiatus when our little one actually arrives though I’ll do my best to have posts scheduled. Thanks in advance for your support xxx

Right, back to the pretty. I’m currently working on a scheme with a Bride who’s wedding theme is English Fete and who’s main colourways are based on her favourite flower – Daisies. My favourite flower also, it struck me the other day that they are such a friendly bloom, just looking at them can put you in a good mood! What better way to start off the week…

‘Ghost Town’ Vegas Styled Shoot

I thought I’d publish this shoot today and it shows the kind of gutsy sass I lamented on Wednesday in regards to the colourful statement nails I’ve seen other Brides sport of late and wish I’d had the guts to sport myself! This ‘Ghost Town’ styled shoot took place in Vegas and was beautifully captured by Sarah Christine Photography - and it quite simply rocks! Brimming with vintage all American details {Bride in cowboy boots anyone?} set against the breath-taking backdrop of the Nevada desert, I hope you enjoy swooning over the delicious styling as much as I have…

On The Move Again…

March 12, 2012 by

Today I’m going to be a little indulgent and write about something that’s not wedding related as this weekend my Mr and I moved from the cottage we have been helping my folks do up over the past 18 months. A character cottage dating back some 250 years it’s been in our family since 1940 and belonged to my Great Aunt who I was very close to.

We moved here when my Dad was ill and only intended to stay in Devon long enough to do it up – how things have changed. Dad is in remission and Adam and I not only married whilst living here, but started new businesses, got new jobs and created a new life within these walls. My Aunt was unable to have children of her own, so I feel really strongly that this little life was meant to be and meant to happen here.

It’s been an absolute privilege to live in this pretty little Devon nook and we will miss it madly. We haven’t moved far as this corner of the world is where we’d like to raise our son, but we need a place with a little more space! Anyway here’s some photo’s from the cosy cottage we’re saying goodbye to…

I know I’ll be taking all the lovely feelings from this house to our next – but thanks for the memories Auntie Flo xxx

A Romantic Stroll Around Leeds Corn Exchange…

Happy Friday all,

I hope you’ve enjoyed engagement week – it’s been so nice to show off some of the gorgeous shoots I’ve been sent of late and there’s plenty more where these came from, as well as styled inspiration shoots and some stunning real weddings!  I love the simplicity of today’s offerings; captured by Chris Jackson Photo, Robin and Andrew took a stroll around the Corn Exchange Leeds. It’s so intimate I almost feel like I’m cheekily peeking in on a few stolen, loving looks as the happy couple clearly only have eyes for each other!

Have a great weekend,

With Love,

Sarah, Boho Bride xx
