Happy Holidays!!!

Good morning lovelies,

Today I just wanted to bid you a very Merry Christmas and the most magical of New Years xxx I hope those who have married this year enjoyed some of their happiest moments so far and those about to get married – well, you are in for the time of your lives!

I have decided to put the blog on hold until January 3rd, not only to give me the time to switch off and enjoy my first Christmas as a wife and soon-to-be Mummy, but to simply catch up on all the wonderful emails I’ve received, brimming with wedding loveliness to feature. To those who have got in touch – thank you so much for you patience…

And whilst the ‘thank you’s’ are happening, to those reading – a huge thank you for your continued support, it means the world to me. I adore writing this blog and with a full time job and little one on board, I have of late struggled to keep on top of  five posts a week…yet it still amazes me when I see how many of you log on each day. Thank you, thank you, thank you. I will be back on form after this short break – I promise!

Big love also to my fabulous sponsors, my Facebook likes and Twitter followers.

Here’s to life, laughter and love…Merry Christmas and a Happy New Year!

I’ve been think about how exciting the festive season must be for Christmas Brides…not only do you have the anticipation of Xmas day itself, but you get all the build up to that, New Years Eve celebrations and your own wedding day! If you’re lucky enough to have a venue with a fireplace then a dressed mantel is a wonderful {and inexpensive} way of adding your style and personality. Use tree branches, swag, candles or baubles and perhaps replace Christmas greetings with your names or wedding wishes – here’s some inspiration…

Happy Monday all,

Hope you had a wonderful weekend. Today I’ve the pleasure of introducing the new website of my friend and sometimes colleague Allene. Flower Designs By Allene Daly was launched earlier this month and I am so pleased that I can now share it with you all. Allene and I have worked on numerous shoots together over the past year and she even created the stunning arrangements for our wedding - I simply adore her approach to creating such pretty floral designs…

“Combining sophisticated, vintage styles and country chic with a modern twist for weddings, functions and events, with the aim to provide a unique, inspirational and personal floristry service which meets the customer’s requirements”, Allene is very instinctive with her arragements, she just gets it right every time!

If you’d like to see more of her stunning work, have a browse of the gallery or grab yourself a copy of this months issue of Wed Devon. Allene created the flower designs for the Bohemian Rhapsody shoot I styled and Wed Magazine also kindly featured our wedding.

Yup, following our second attempt at a 20 (now 23) week scan, my hubby and I were not only thrilled to discover all looks well with baby…but that we’re expecting a BOY! So along with my beloved, our two testosterone fuelled cats and our impending addition I am well and truly outnumbered. Thank goodness for all things weddingy and pretty as my life is about to evolve around Lego, rugby and Cowboys and Indians – and I couldn’t be any happier about it!

Happy Thursday,

With Love, Sarah xx
