Woodstock Wedding – Festival Wedding Style Inspiration!

As I write this, the sun is streaming through our little cottage and I can see little specks of dust dancing in the hazy light…I love the balmy, veil of summer. The soft light that makes everything look so beautiful you want to capture it and make it stand still in time. This light makes me think of festivals, retro loveliness, bare skin and dry mud – so here’s some ideas for a ‘Woodstock’ wedding…

A Liberty Moment – Great British Royal Wedding Paraphernalia

Today’s offering comes courtesy of Liberty – my favourite shop to visit whenever I’m in London and I regularly check-in online to see what goodness they have on offer. The country is braced for Royal wedding fever and whilst I’m excited to see the styling of the day, in particular Kate’s gown – it’s mainly the Great British paraphernalia that’s whipped me into a frenzy…

London based photographer Louise Bjorling is offering 3-5 couples the chance to win free wedding photography! It could be something really extraordinary, but it doesn’t have to be. An unusual location, something non-traditional about your dress code, something curious about your reception or ceremony… Or it could be the details in your decorations. What you have to do…

Please email me some information about yourselves. I’d like to know the following…
1.Your name and contact details (phone no+ email)
2.Your wedding date
3.The area and post code for your wedding day
4.Details about your wedding day, including what makes it a bit unusual

I’m still in the process of decorating my office/our dining room and one of the features I’m really looking forward to creating is a chalkboard wall to help keep me organised and…well they’re pretty darn fabulous aren’t they? Chalkboards have also become a wonderful addition to many weddings and people are getting really creative with how they’re used. So here’s some chalky inspiration…

Midsummer Nights Dream Inspiration with Vintage English Accents

This mood board is dedicated to Jo, who wrote to tell me about her delicious wedding plans that included a Midsummer Night’s Dream feel with vintage accents and a nod towards cricket for her husband-to-be! With a palette of pistachio, cream, powder pink and gold, I set about creating an eclectic and elegant mood board…

Blousy flowers and whimsical details like shoes tied with ribbons all add to the playful feel of this wedding style…and the cricket bat guest book? That’s one for her her man!

Congratulations Jo and happy planning! With love, Boho Bride x

We have officially passed the six month mark of our wedding and are now in to ‘The Final Countdown…’ (cue Europe’s 80′s cheese-fest tune – oh I’m such a geek!) where plans are now being finalised and the last bit and pieces booked! Hurrah!

The last 18 months have flown by and having been reticent to confirm plans too far in advance, I’ve only recently started ploughing through, transforming ideas into reality. With that in mind I thought it would be nice to share some wedding goodness and offer a sneeky peak into our home and out plans. Cue ‘team wedding’…

Images above – Our save-the-date cards, created by us, inspired by many and printed by vista print…for £7.99! A delicious {pink} chocolate and cointreau cake pop sent to me from the lovely Andrea at Cake By Sugar I am now officially hooked and will be ordering some for the wedding! My gorgeous friend and bridesmaid Laura modelling a Vivienne of Holloway frock at the Bristol Vintage Wedding Fair – she’ll be wearing a similar non-bridal shade for our nuptuals. A peek at our beautiful Love Birds created by the uber talented Katy Howieson (you’ll see them in full garb after 17/09/11!) And although they won’t be at the wedding – our darling boys Milo + Toby have been assisting erm lending their ‘helpful’ paws to our wedding plans! All images via my iphone!

Crowning Glory – Flower Crowns

April 4, 2011 by

I’m more than a little in love with flower crowns and there has been plenty of debate amongst my loved ones as to whether I should wear one, or go for some sort of veil instead…

I have made my decision – but you’ll have to wait till September so see what I’ve opted for. But I just couldn’t help sharing some beautiful inspiration…
