Boho Bride’s Making Changes….

Hello lovely readers,

Thanks for stopping by. Today’s post is all about the changes happening to Boho Bride! The last six months or so have been so wonderful and surpassed all my expectations…

When launching the blog my intention was to create a hub of inspiration for Brides-to-be and those who simply love beautiful aesthetics and design – but I never imaged the support I’d get from Brides, Creatives, Designers, Photographers, Planners and more…the blog has been shown so much love! Thank you.

 It’s always been my dream to inspire and innovate and so I embarked on the wonderfully fun task of having the blog re-designed. I wanted to ensure that Boho Bride retained it’s original essence, but also moved forward. Perhaps the biggest change afoot is my new venture as a stylist. Channeling my training in set design, home design and my love of all things pretty I will now be dressing and styling weddings, shoots and even a home or two {I hope!}

Please bear with me over the next couple of days, as little details are added and altered…

With love, Boho Bride x

I am very excited to introduce Strange Fruit Cards onto the pages of Boho Bride! I first heard from the company’s creator Denise last week and thought they were so fab, I bumped one of this week’s features to ensure you all got a peek at some very lovely cards…just in time for Mother’s day!

The back-story of what led Denise and husband Cory to set up their business is very inspiring – so here goes…

Just Peachy Mood Board

Peach is a colour that was once negatively associated with weddings and the sort of Bridesmaid dresses that ensured you’d always remain a spinster.

Not so now; for this lush and juicy colourway is a wonderful shade to use, as it works really well with other colours…and really compliments your skin tone! Enjoy…

Worthy Wedding Investments…

This past weekend I spent some time with two of my dearest friends, who also happen to be part of my Bridesmaid ensemble…We were having a chat about wedding-ness and all the things I’ve yet to organise when my wedding shoes were mentioned…

The assumption was that I already had them – admittedly because I’d emailed a link to them with the caption..”look what I’ve just bought” and promptly failed to confess that I bailed and cancelled the order after having a wobbly over their £200 price tag! My friends were horrified. Especially as I went on to inform them that I was also giving hair, make-up and post ceremony nibbles a miss in order to stick to our modest budget.

You see – paying for this wedding has turned me into Steve Martin’s character in Father of the Bride…OK, I am still the Bride, but it’s mine and my fiance’s hard earned cash that’s going into it. At the beginning of our wedding prep I vowed to ensure everything {erm and everyone} earned it’s place at our day and have to admit I really needed the brutal honesty of two dear friends to jolt me out of my wedding miser ways!!!

I’ve a bit of a thing for words and have letters and signs all over my pad. This love of words extends to signs and I’ve a huge crush on wedding signs! Whether they’re made of driftwood, or sterner stuff…shabby or chic, I can’t get enough of wedding signs…
